Just curious, what element did you end up using from my image? Is it the heart shaped splatter or is that just my imagination? Very interesting image either way. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with the color pallet and tonality but I like the concept of the liquefied butterfly wings.

yes it's the heart. i've tried to incorporate your 'wooden' style into this image but it was just look too similar so i went for ink splatter and watercolor paints instead. The color tones were added to soften the image at bit otherwise the ink splatter would be too strong imo.
ps- I dont think the March comp. would start right away .... so lets see what u got next.
