I just got it a few weeks ago and I don't like it at all
should I sell it and get swift 3d? or should I stick with it?
anyone on the board have any thoughts on this program?

I have vecta 3d and I'll admit it only does basic animations
while swift3d can do a little more plus it can do basic modeling, I think it would be good idea to get swift if you plan on doing more 3d work

i too have vecta stand alone and find it very basic compared to swift 3d both have good and bad points i have both the main use for vecta is it imports sequenced files ie .3ds animated sequence created in my case truespace numbered accordingly can be fine in vecta but its the 3dmax vecta plugin that must do all those fine fish eagle things found on the site there is no Q&A that i can find other than F1 no forum no support no nothing once you have it where as swift provides ideas a forum updates a running commentary on its product thats all i can add i do use both for different reasons

If anyone want to see a site rendering with vecta and composing into Flash, check

http://www.mtv2.co.uk, very good 3d flash website

Into the Flash CD, you can check the vecta 3d demo.

another similar program and you can download a trial version is Illustrate, plug-in for 3dmax.

I think that the plug-ins for 3dmax are much better than the standalone versions, because you can made complex animations, modeling, etc. except the cost!!

I have the swift 3d, and is a good program, but has some limitations.
