What's up with the Brits and Anarchy?
I'm always surprised when someone brings the anarchy card into a disscussion. I see quite a bit in other forums I frequent. It's there end all be all boogeyman
Anarchy is a fallacy. Why people are afraid of it I have no idea.
As soon as a void in power exists someone who wants power will take control. Whether it be a local cheftain. A regional warlord, or a prime minister/president there is always someone at the top and a system of governance in place. It may not be your ideal of governance but it's there.

I dislike business trips where I don't know for sure if I'm going until after lunch on Monday and the plane takes off before lunch on Tuesday.
On the other hand, I love business trips where I get to stay in nice suites and eat delicious food.

Why is it that news media sites (cnn.com/msnbc etc) always stuff's video feeds for me?
I'd blame lack of net neutrality but,,,,
The commercials run smooth as glass yet as soon as I want to watch a story it's buffering hell.

Different CDN's I would assume. Ad servers are likely mirrored everywhere where as CNN is serving from their basement.

CNN heavily leverages Akamai usage. They're crazy expensive, but well worth it.

i was the last one to post here? really?
Anyhow.
What's with HBO TV series DVD's? Why don't they have a 'play all' option? Not one TV show from them has this. Every episode ends and i have to go to the menu and choose the next episode. stupid.

I think complex numbers are underestimated. They are very useful, i.e. I've found simple polynomial solver working on simple arithmetics operations only with nice property of global convergence developed in 60s, and it's using complex numbers! So I had to implement complex numbers in flash, and that was fun, really, but when I talk to someone about that, they don't see it the way I do No why is that? Well, I think that's because complex numbers are underestimated.
