    Nice topic! I'm always searching for good cheap recipes, not to mention easy to do.

    Economically speaking, this meal ranges from $6 - $8 with two servings, but it is super easy to do and sounds fancy. "Shrimp Scampi". All you do is buy the ready to make boxes, put them on a frying pan and voila, it's done. Then you boil some angel hair pasta to go with it. Really easy and delicious.

    In terms of cheap though, I love making chicken wings with a side of mash potatoes (homemade is the best). Costs about $4 - 6. Then again, I only make food for myself and sometimes my roommate so if you're feeding a family, expect to pay a lot more.

    Chili is your friend.

    Make a gigantic pot of it, and keep it in the fridge. Easy to make, delicious, and you can make it pretty stinking cheap.
