Yeah I am pretty clueless on all aspects of working out and stuff so the videos are more of a lead-way into me getting started and learning some of the routines and what they're doing. I can't wait to get to where I was freshmen year again- even better I hope.
Never thought of the kettleballs. Maybe once I move up in weights I will look into those. The ones I have seem to be alright for now.

I've been walking in the mornings for the past 3 weeks, about 4 - 5 miles. I decided to try a run today... made it about 2 miles and then walked about .5 back to my house. It took all of 20 minutes, maybe...
Recoup was about 6 - 8 minutes. I felt like I was going to puke at one point, but now I feel great. I think this is going to become a daily thing.....I need to combat all the cigars I have had lately.
It's Summer.....get out and do something!!

Alright here's a general question... when people talk about how much they bench, does the number include the weight of the bar or no?

hmmm never asked that before. Next time I talk to a friend who does lifting I'll have to ask.
Yesterday was the sculpting exercises with free weights and boy do I feel it in my sides and chest . Along with these videos I am going to dust off the old bike and try to get more kayaking in. I also go on random hikes with friends too. I can see this being a very active summer!

Yes - the bar weighs 45 lbs, so if you have a 45 plate on either side, you are hitting 135, assuming you are using free weights. On machines, don't add any weight other than where the pins are.

Depends on your gym. They can range from almost any size but an official Olympic bar is 45 lbs.

If you're using a 10 lb bar, I'd stay far away from the 45 lb plates as there's going to be some shattered metal in your future.

Ok thats what I thought, thanks. I know the bench press bars at my gym weigh 45 and the curl bars are 15 I think.

Yeah - the curl bars may weigh a little more or less depending on if they are the bent type or not, but 15 is a good gauge on those.

Rollins Band. That alone has gotten extra reps / mileage out of me when I was completely exhausted.

yeah i did try various weightloss bets with other ppl, but ppl didnt put enough $ up for me to be motivated or anything. i went from like 215lbs to where i am now which is 200 lb.
also, i have used p90x and i have 10 minute trainer (friend gave it to me and i can give it to u, just pm me) but to be honest it looks like its all bs.
just watch ur diet and run/bike as much as u can.. i got injured a while back because i was increasing my running too much per week.
