    Vector Texture

I'm going to eventually find some topic someone has time or wants to discuss :P

Now, I move on to trying to bait a discusser with a catchy title mwaha.

I was beginning to think of possibly using vector graphics (with all the typical syntax and format of a vector graphic) to map over to texture 3D surfaces.

Because of the nature of vector graphics it would seem to me to be easy to perform matrix transforms on the graphics to make em fit to a triangle. Also, I'd think it could be crazy efficient for the most part (if the vector graphic wasn't insanely complicated), and would provide a nice cartoony aesthetic.

Oh and not to mention zooming in on the surface wouldn't have issues with resolution near as much, but would be limited in the different way of how many vectors are present in the graphic.

Anyone here know more about this idea or if it has been attempted in some funky way along with the possible problems that arise from this thought?
