cool effect question

Hi,

Please check out http://big.dk/big.html and click @bottom any menu item > see the thumbnails rearranging themselves.
My question: How do you realize that effect ? What's the underlying concept / logic / elements necessary to achieve such a filtering effect by categories?
I am no expert but I would appreciate a somewhat technical explanation. Thanks.

I think one concept would be to give all the clips names or ids to which they can be referred to, and with a master list, they could be arranged (loops will probably play a big role here) Sorry for the lack of a more technical reply; i'll see if i can find something similar (code) that i can post here.
