Clients who want a .fla file

I am planning to jump in the waggon of open source Flash, but still see one major problem. Many clients indeed want the .fla file upon project completion. If I produce a .swf and decompile it to obtain a .fla, will this .fla work well?

i have decompiled swf files to recover fla files. out of about 9 of them that i have done, i have had to fix things in the fla 2 times.

both times files with flv video embeded on to it and masks. maybe it was the decoder i was using, but in my experience there can be problems.
