How much RAM have you got?

So I maxed-out my RAM to 3GB a month or two ago, which seems pretty normal for a 4-year old computer and perfectly adequate, but then a video-editing friend of mine told me today he's about to receive some extra RAM to bring him up to 16GB –*half of his maximum.

Anyway, just out of curiosity, how much RAM have you got?

2 in my laptop and 2 in my desktop. When I ever get around to finally fixing my computer(waiting for a friend to buy my old parts) I want to bring my desktop up to 4 gigs with Windows 7 64-bit.

He did it by shunning ECC RAM, which is fantastically expensive, bought the minimum amount possible that comes with it and then bought 16GB of non-ECC for about £150 ($250 USD).

    16GB ram = $200
Where did he get that deal?

I got the 2GB ram setup myself and added 4GB for $150 I think.

    I7 systems are just sick.

4gb on my main system, on vista, but it gets really slow when it uses more than 2gb (and that's very usual, between eclipse and firefox, I've managed to reach 1.5gb, add photoshop, chrome and flash to the mix and my pc dies :P)

Yeah, Apple ship ECC memory with the Mac Pros - kinda assuming you want the best.
