project natal, what exactly am I looking at?

I don't know what to say really. I don't know if I would want to even play with something like that, I mean, how far have the developers gone in creating the AI? I like the idea of kicking a soccer ball around though.

That women talking to the virtual kid creeps me out. was definitely scripted too. no way has AI just magically leaped that far advanced for something like the xbox...

Also will be fun with all the disembodied limbs when your arm is behind your back, PLEASE

If they added this is just a CONCEPTUAL project, I could take it with a grain of salt, but claiming that it's actual factual craptactual is too much

The whole part where she drew a fish and handed it to him through the tv was ridiculous. Sorry Silver but 2 years isn't even close to enough time to accomplish half of what they are showing.

I think that AI video is a load of crapo except for the water swishing part. There are some videos that show people kicking and hitting balls around. I think that could work. Just leave the whole AI side out and you've got a winner.

the best part of the technologie is the fact that its so very old, they just gave it some hd graphics and then claim its going to change the world.

Yeah just like how the Wii is old news. Anyone remember that brick breaking game that was done with the Nintendo Power Glove? It's all just rehashed with shiny graphics...

Well that game Jimmy Fallon player with Natal was a very basic version of that. No enemies or anything but he just hit a ball against a wall and knocked stuff over.

maybe it's just quick and dirty demo but many of that features are very much possible.

one thing i think was a bit bull is motion tracking for full body movements (when body turns sideways/updown..etc) without some sort of device attach to the body. I mean, if that kind of technology is possible now, they wouldnt need to have those ball things on actors when they film for animation tracking in movies do they?

What, do you think she memorised all of those moves EXACTLY to perform in front of a live audience?

oh wow that IS cool. how did they do that!! i mean the depths, the angles..etc from front panel sensor only!!?? amazing. I thought they need to triangulate it to make it work.
