Battle of the Bored: Natsia vs. Zacaboo288

No chancers, no 5 week turn around if you can't battle don't.

4 Rounds, 1 WEEK OR LESS turn around, rotation not allowed, maintain aspect from previous image.

Bring it on. Is that all of the criteria? Are you serving?

edit: Upon further inspection, I'm assuming you did serve but the image isn't loading in my browser. I'll give it an hour and try again.

I'm glad to see some peaked interest around here. Natsia, get ready to divert at least 80% power to your shields, I'm about to fire you a serious torpedo.

Quite cool... wish you had toned down the "find edges" filter on the boot. It's a bit too pronounced (ok, maybe my eyes just went straight to it) but desaturated and placed on there via Soft Light and dropping the opacity to less than 55% would have acted more like a highlight/shadow enhancer and upped some shadows and reflections/highlights.

The mix of vector and raster is done quite well, no wasted space and a layout that makes sense.

All but the text. Looks like it was an afterthought where you decided to place it in it's resting spot at the last moment. Surprised you subdued that bottom part as much as you had - it deserved to pop out more.

Good image... from both of you.

    Thanks G.
You're 100% spot on about the text & boots.
Had glowy things coming off of them and took those out at the last minute. Text was also just behind her leg and also didn't like it there at the last minute. Frivolity!

Nats, the only real crits I have follow in parallel to gerbick's. I'm not quite sure if I'm capturing the message in its entirety but I dig the NES/arcade reference. I would have liked to see a more controlled color palette and maybe bring out the bottom section a little more but overall I'd say you created a good flow and use of space.

    Here's my return.
