    New Studio...

...we decided to have a new studio, office, lab and darkroom and a place for computer classes in the barn of a 180 year old farmhouse...

    before it all started

the barn...walls and stables already taken out

    construction work begins

the construction steel for the base plate is layed out

side door and wall taken down because of instability reasons

Will keep you updated as the work only just started

It is so exciting and it is quite an investment...the roof will be renewed and insulated, after this is done we are gong to finish the inside...floor heating, toilet, a lot of electricity, water supply etc...
I will post more soon as the workers really make a good and quick job!

    Thank you Ignoramus!
Good idea but an impossible task as the entire room will be refurbished and the cam will be destroyed or covered with dust...and I cannot afford a new cam right now

Don't forget the HUGE windows for that beautiful natural light to come in for some nice model shots(and then some nice heavy shutters to cover them when working with just strobes )

    Pop-up flash FTW.

This place is looking amazing! I can't wait till it's done and see how you set it all up. Also can't wait to see what comes out of it!

Do you have an expected finish date or you just going with the flow as things finish?

Also you mentioned your wife is a pro photographer? Mind sharing her site or some work? Would love to see it.
