    Sequel wishlist

Some movies are deserving of sequels or remakes others aren't.
What movies do you think deserve a sequel?

Personally I'd love to see a remake or a sequel to Blade Runner.

As much as I like some of the remakes in the horror genre that have been released in the past fews years. The ones that really shine are the original stories. So this year I hope for some more original stories the studios aren't afraid to release.

but to keep on topic I would like to see: a GOOD terminator movie, a nice nod towards the old Italian Cannibal genre- but that'll never happen. I have more I could think of but I'm in a rush.

I am so glad you registered here today to contribute such glorious content to this online community.

Back to the topic at hand, District 9 seemed to leave the door wide open for one.

Personally, I'd love to see The Dude and Walter Sobchak return for round two.

Avatar seemed to be District 9's sequel eh, but with 1/10th the production costs? That AMP/mech suit, Bullied aliens, Change of body, N plenty of bang bang -- I'd second for a sequel to District 9.

N do not rush with an Avatar 2 please. Go take another 10years. I'd like to enjoy this first one for as long as it can.

Independence Day. I read a screenplay proposal outlining a sequel. The mother ship got off a distress signal to master colony but it will take four years to get there. Earth knows about it and spends the four years reverse-engineering the alien tech in preparation for the assault.

The game Eternal Darkness deserves a second but only if they reassemble the original developers.

I'm really going to be disappointed if this becomes a Duke Nukem revivalist thread.

Interesting question. It seems like there is a tipping point for me where, if I like a film enough, I can't trust anyone new to botch it up with a re-make or sequel. Bladerunner is one of those. I feel like the odds are too great that it wouldn't live up to expectations.

    A couple I wouldn't mind gambling on:

    Office Space
    Conan
    Evil Dead
    Sopranos

Blade Runner could never be re-made as a better movie. Same with Dune.

How is that? They ***** slapped us in ID4 and we impoverished them in D9. Roland Emmerich has been on a global annihilation tear anyway so a decimating revenge attack would be right up his alley.

Less catfood and more exploding government buildings? District 9 could be the real prequel to Independence Day if they came back, pissed off because Meow Mix was now discontinued.

I know. I broke the rules. Conan had one also. I meant in addition to the sequels that they already made.

It sounds like people liked District 9? I didn't even finish watching that one.

Meow mix did continued, it was in Avatar, remember? Except there weren't any catfood.

People enjoyed district 9. We get to bully them aliens for once. And the mech suit, is Evangelion-cool~

Okay, I want a TRON sequel. Oh, wait, Tron Legacy in the works.. ^.^
