Safari issue: Flashes white before displaying bkg color

I'm wondering if this is just something in Safari because it's not happening in Firefox at least on the Mac. I have a client who wants a navbar with background color the same as the background color of the site itself. No problem there. Made a simple .swf with the background color set in the properties. So I upload it and when I go to this page:

The movie quickly starts out white and then the background color comes in. Is this a Safari bug? Would it work better if I had created a graphic or movie clip object that fit the stage with the same background color or would the white flash still occur?

I don't see any of the white when viewing on my machine. The only thing I can think of is that Flash doc background color is set to white and that flashes by as the file is loaded.
Be sure the doc background color is set to the correct color.
