Question Pantone 2010 Color of the Year is...

    Turquoise 15-5519
(that's #45BCB2 to us web geeks).

So, what nightmare styles, designs, and/or color schemes do you see spreading from this? Will you use it at all, even if just to be trendy? Or will you avoid it like the plague...?

What's wrong? Hitting too close to home, Crockett?

How is this determined? Do they just randomly pick a shade and claim it the color of the year? I'm genuinely curious about this process. Is there some data to show that it's popular or something?

They announce spring/fall color palettes as well. We used to use them as a guide for coming trends at work.
