I am not certain but I think you might be in for a pretty difficult transition. As far as I know, there are not many mobile phones that have any Flash support. I could be wrong about this. I know that the most recent Android phones do in some cases. Apple has steadfastly refused to allow Flash support on the iPhone. I believe this is for business reasons.

I believe that Java is the most common language for mobile phone programming. Actionscript 3 and Java have a lot in common in terms of language structure, but the available libraries are very very different from what I've seen. Actionscript 2 and Java are not as similar.

There might be some good news though! Adobe has pledged to facilitate the development of iPhone apps with CS5. Adobe appears to be working hard to make sure that flash apps will work on mobile phone platforms. You may find this link helpful:

If I am not wrong, then I remember you posting questions for creating sis packages....was there nay break through in it ?

Thats the only way u may deploy flash SWF files else you have to simply transfer them manually on ur mobile!

    1) you need to get a symbian certificate to sign your .sis. There is a charge for this.

    2) you need to create a .sis and sign it
one way to create a .sis is using this beta software:

    3) you need to set up an OVI store account

Motorola android phones will use the Android market.

    market.android.com

To my knowledge there is no standardized standalone Flash player or implementation of AIR available for android. The only immediate Flash support will be Flash 10.1 in the browser.

I think there may be just a few early Android devices with a version of Flash Lite but this is not implemented in a standard way and you would not really be able to build Flash applications for sale in the App market based upon these players.
