OSMF Player without Flex (Flash only)?

I am looking to build a custom OSMF player such as this OSMF player sample, however I only have Flash CS but not Flex. Is it possible to build a OSMF player without using Flex?

Yeah, as a matter of fact, to make your life easy, RealEyes already did it and gave the code away (very nice of them). You can get the source via SVN here: http://code.google.com/p/reops/

Also note, the OSMF code base is nothing but AS3 (no MXML Framework involved at all). Building from scratch is certainly possible. I've built a basic AS3 OSMF Player a few weeks ago. I'm still learning about the framework myself as well.
