could you recommend a good web hosting company that i could use.

good price and good service? im in mauritius and it is really not great here THX.

If you just want a site on some shared hosting server, there are tons.

If you want complete control over your server but need a control panel, consider liquidweb or OLM with Webhost Manager or CPanel or something.

I really like using rackspace.com when I need a virtual private server because I can login, allocate a cloud server, and configure it from the ground up for as little as $11 per month.

It sort of depends on what you want. If you want to run e-commerce off your machine then you'll need a dedicated machine. I've had good experiences with liquidweb.com and OLM.net
