    100 Strangers

I finally started the project. Here is Stranger 1. He was the foreman of the Freeman group of union laborers who did all the work I for the trade show I was just working at the past 6 days in nyc.

I'm hoping to figure out his name as I totally blanked at asking it. Even though I talked to him for a good 20+ minutes.

...what a great shot under available light conditions!
The man's pose and the look in his eyes show the strong minded character and his smile is showing he is a friendly person.
The fainted contrasts and colors of the bg are matching perfectly to the lighting and colors of this man...IMPRESSIVE photography!

Thanks for the kind words. I am SO glad I got the focus right. I shot this very quickly(under a minute) and only took 3-4 frames total. I think it was a good start to the project. Just need to build up the courage to keep approaching people. Our local fair starts in a couple weeks and I'm hoping to rack them up there.

    LOVE the sigma 30.

Yeah - commented on this on your flickr account - great shot. That's one of those shots that you've just nailed in every way (to my eye anyway).

Yeah - Sigma 30mm - I'm still having a "Where have you been all my life?" moment with mine..

Thanks a lot for the comments.

I'm still working on the whole asking thing as I am pretty shy and not too out going around strangers. I got my first denial this weekend. A CLASSIC old man was reading on a bench and smoking a cig. I asked him if he would help me with the project and very nicely declined so I just told him to have a good day and went on my way.
