Choppy playback of projector from cs4...

    Hi!
I'm publishing a projector from flash cs4 - the projector goes fullscreen.
I've replaced the file that creates projectors inside the "players" folder in the flash cs4 install directory with the newest version 10.1.82. I also replaced the playerglobal.swc and use that when I publish the projector in 10.1.83. The memory management is so much better when publishing for this version.
I have swf files that are loaded into the projector & those are in version 9 (they have to be that for various reasons).
I start the projector & everything is fine - the animations are very smooth & nice.
I close flash cs4 & start the projector again - all by itself.
    Choppy playback...
I start monster debugger (air application) to check fps.
    Smooth animation...
    I close monster debugger.
    Choppy playback...
If I hit escape & the projector goes out of fullscreen & into it's "real size" - smooth animations eventhough version 10.1.82 & all by itself...
What on earth is going on here?
Why does the projector somehow need "support" from either flash cs4 or Air to run smooth in fullscreen?
It seems like it's not a good idea to publish for version 10.1 from flash cs4...
Does anyone have an idea what is going on here?
If I publish for versions earlier than 10.1 - for example 10.0.53 - smooth animations. All animations are coded - no timeline animations...

Sounds like you've done the research, have you brought this to Adobe's attention? It might be something they already know about or it could be a rendering bug.

You can use the same Adobe Feature Request/Bug Report Form to make requests or report bugs for any Adobe product. They understand that people have code to support. Their answer might very well be "upgrade to CS5" but at least you'll have confirmation that it's an issue so your customer won't be pointing the finger directly at you
