Adnroid 2.2 camera access
Hello,
if you have tried it you know that it is not working. The main thing is that on Android 2.2 the camera allowance dialog is not being displayed when you try to access it from the web browser.
I've found something called PhoneGap, but it is not working on the android 2.2, or at least some parts of it is not working.
Has anyone any clues how to access the camera from the web browser on Android 2.2?

Is your swf big enough to display the dialog? I haven't been able to play with flash on android yet, but it seems like screen resolution might be a factor here.

The minimum resolution to get the camera is 215 x 138 pixels, according to the as3 documentation. We are using Toshiba Folio tablet which has 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. so it is more than enough. Also we tried on some HTC phones, but still no results. even they have bigger resolution than it is needed.

Serge Jaspers:
Flash Player in the browser on Android currently not support the camera. For workaround see http://bit.ly/dcJIDP

so it seems we need to wait a bit and move with what we have...
