Video does not play well in Flash canvass size 550 X 400

I have created a video using ScreenCorder:
The canvass size is 1440 x 900 pixels for the video file
I have imported this video in Flash.

The canvass size for my flash is 550 x 400.
When I import the video to the canvass I have to shrink the video so it fits onto the stage however when i do this you can no longer so the quality of the video.

What is the best solution to avoid this?

For example I want to keep my Flash canvass to 550 x 400 as I have done a lot of work on Flash and don't want things to move.

I want the video to play at a good quality how do I do this? Thank you in advance
