The last time I checked...Dragonball GT was still selling as fansubs, which means it hasn't been commercially released (i think)...once it is commercially released, it will be shown on Cartoon network...If u really want to see it,go to

    http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Bridge/7951/title.html

they're selling 6 tapes for 25 dollars...the only thing is, that it's in the original japanese voices (which i usually prefer...dunt know about u) and there are subtitles in english that u have to read...

DBZ GT is still active in Japan, so it'll be a while before it comes over here. They're still subbing and acquiring the DBZ episodes, so GT is probably a ways off. But I'm sure Cartoon Network has all intentions of picking it up, as they are also trying to get as many of the Movies as they can. Thankfully, Cartoon Network is taking a more active role in "quality control", as it were, and the Trunks series which will be showing before the end of the summer is supposed to be of much better quality than the ones they have showed so far (many which were previously dubbed and licenced for syndication, hence the poorer quality). Naturally, they will have to be edited somewhat (well, they don't *have* to be, but I'm sure they will be...)

BTW - great pic Firey. Keep 'em coming!

    Thanx I have to buy a scanner some time soon...i have pics but they're all on paper ;-;
There are a lot of Fansubbers on http://www.anipike.com who will sell u the fansub tapes for a couple of dollars...the tapes usually doesn't have the editing process the US put into it to keep violence and sex out...for example, the US named Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus as cousins *attempting* to explain y they're so loving and close...but that jus makes it worse...the us has made them incests...hahaha It's probably the same for Dragonball...where japan has more episodes showing than the US because japanese are probably used to sex and violence in their everyday cartoons...hehehe...either that, or they jus dunt care...
My favs is the first post on the thread ^_^ (plus some additional ones recommended by ppl here at flashkit)

Only problem to watch out for in the fansubs is the great fluctuation in tape quality. Many times, if a series is popular enough, the subs/dubs will be released commercially by a company like Pioneer, and will have all of the original content. (The main reason the TV eps are usually hacked to pieces are network regulations - not decisions made by stations).
The regulations are a little more lax overseas, and they accept anime as a respectable source of entertainment, not like the american market, where cartoons are just for kids. There are lots more prime-time cartoons in Japan than there are here in the States (but quite a few are being made nowadays. There's hope for animators yet!)
Anyways, just to toss out another valuable resource, http://www.animenewsnetwork.com usually has some good advance info about the industry in general.
How'd the weekend of Flashing and Anime go, firey?

    I'll say it too.
    You are lucky.

The DVD should be coming out soon. They're still debating whether or not it will have a Japanese language track.

I'm making an anime flash page rite now...with the rate of completion rite now...it'll probably be completed by the time i finish high school...~_~"

Could everyone do me a favor and let me know what their favorite online place to shop for anime is? I'm doing a little bit of market research for a friend.
If all goes well, I may be around soon looking to hire some designers.
    Thanks a million,

    Thanks, firey.
(You should offer to redesign their website. )

I would also like to ask whether people are more likely (on a personal level) to order online or at a local retail shop, and why?

Again, thanks for the help all.

I dunt know about others...but i like to order online cuz my mom doesn't like anime and will kill me if i buy them...she thinks that all the anime stuff i own are given by friends, or relatives give them to me as presents...ordering online keeps me out of trouble <everyone sweatdrops>
