Is there an on stage trick?

I always have a very hard time choosing Movie Clips within Movie Clips. I have had enough! Is there a trick I can do in order to get into new movie clips from the stage and other movie clips that is an easy no pain way? I suppose I can create tags that are off the stage and make the guides to get into deeper movie clips. Any suggestions?

It can be tricky. Depending on what version of Flash you use, if you click on a keyframe on the layer, the movieclip will highlight and a white circle or crosshairs will appear. If you double click on that, it should take you into the clip.

that is exactly how I do and have done it for years myself.

clicking the frame will highlight everything in it..

if your clip is invisible or no first frame..etc the white circle with cross hairs..

(or using the layer outline button/color) helps find objects on stage.

I mean I am anal about my projects I properly make layers for objects with intuitive names. I create folders in my library for things I group and organize.. and everything have an instance name.
