    Drawing houses in flash CS4

So i have this great house sketch(attached). The problem is that i am really really bad at drawing in flash. Here's what i am asking of the Flash kit community:-
Firstly, post any suggestions you may have towards architectural drawing in cs4. I have been through a dozen flash drawing sites, only to find cartoon character sketches. If you do come across a tutorial, please post it here.

This house actually needs to have some paint peeling/brickwork effects on it, so if you know how to do that, post a reply.

Of course, if you have alot of extra time, and you are feeling like doing some drawing work free, send me your finished work, and i will add your name in the creds.

    Thanks in advance...

Flash is probably the wrong tool for the job.
Try drawing it in Illustrator, or using Illustrator's live trace to turn it into a vector file, then bring it into Flash.

joshstrike, Flash can also trace bitmap to a vector image. Just like illustator does. This function is called Trace Bitmap, and is available from CS3 or even earlier (not sure though).

guestcheap, use Photoshop to paint it. Nor Flash neither Illustrator are good for working with Bitmaps.

Yes, but the vector trace in Flash is terrible. There would be no chance of successfully making that file into a vector in Flash. In Illustrator, it's possible because there are more fine-grained options.

Anyway, it's not clear what the point of this is, so maybe he doesn't need it as a vector? I was just guessing he did because why else would you want to draw it in Flash.

joshstrike: Yes, i know that the trace bitmap in flash is horrible. Is livedraw better? I would prefer not to use Illustrator, as it will take some time to gather the funds, plus I have never used it before.

caseyryan: Yes, a vector is preferred. Anyway to save as vector in photoshop???

    Thanks for the replies...

Photoshop cannot trace bitmap to vector.

And, btw, for a balck and white image, Flash's Trace Bitmap will do

Depends what you mean by "will do". It doesn't have enough control for serious illustration. It's okay for simple shapes.

Anyway guestcheap, don't go out and buy Illustrator for this (buy it for somethin else)... I went ahead and vectorized it two different ways for you here. Now you can bring them into photoshop at whatever size you want, or illustrator, or Flash as vectors. Hope this helps.

    Color, if you will...

joshstrike: the second one was great, thanks for the time.
Unfortunatly, i kinda wanted this to be colored, the main problem i was facing from the beginning. If i just wanted a vector, I could easily use the Trace bitmap feature that caseyryan pointed out.

What i mean is, i need to use flash to turn this sketch into a colored vector.

    1 more problem.

The preview of the 2 vectors is great, but you didn't mention if you used flash or illustrator. If you used illustrator, can you at least post a download link to the vector(*.ai) file?

I am hoping to mark this thread as resolved as soon as possible.

    Hey guestcheap.
The PDF files I linked to are vectors, they're not just previews. They can be opened in Illustrator and you'll have all the paths there.
As far as coloring, I don't know. Your best bet is probably to put other vector shapes (in color) underneath the line drawing. Actually coloring the lines themselves probably won't look very good.
Also, this would be too large and complex of a vector to animate well in Flash. Can you explain what you're trying to do with it, why you need it to be a vector in Flash? Because there might be a better way of doing what you need without actually vectorizing it (or without vectorizing the whole thing).
