Any idea why this is happening
On behalf of my daughter - again.
Would any of you have an idea as to why the "skyline" photos have got all those lines across them.
Thanks

It looks like you've exported them using a setting that doesn't render gradients very well.
What did you use to edit/export your pics?
You should export photos as high quality jpegs for the internet.

He has risen!
definitely an export issue as Loydall said.
However, sometimes even a JPG with a high resolution, you'll get some slight striation with the gradients, if you want to fill them in a bit, you can add a little noise to the image, but that's usually a last ditch effort.

Thank you for your replies.
I'm not too sure what you are refering to.
Here is what she does.
1 - she takes photo
2 - she opens it in photoshop
3 - she "saves as" jpeg
4 - then jpeg options come up where she saves it as a smallish image so its not too big for internet viewing.
That is the process she goes through. Perhaps you could give me feedback on her method and where it is going wrong.
Cheers

1 - Take photo
2 - Open in photoshop
3 - Select (from the menu at the top) Image > Image Size...
4 - Give it a size suitable for the web - maybe 600 wide...
5 - Go to File > Save for Web & Devices
6 - From the preset options in that window choose > JPEG High and set the quality to 80
7 - Hit save

Thank you very much. I'll get her to try that.

My daughter says it works perfectly and thank you very much.
