FLV skin A/V controls not showing up

I've searched through all the books and can't find an answer for this one.

I have a couple of video clips loading to the stage via loadExternalMovieclip. The video clips were imported FLV's, given skin styles, and exported as SWF's. When I open the SWF's directly in FLash Player, all is well -- the controls appear and work fine. But when they are loaded into an empty, placeholder MovieClip, the skin does not appear!

    ?????

For example, www.dreamlogicpictures.com. If you click the TRAILER button, the video loads and plays, and my custom CLOSE button works, but the A/V controls, which are in the SWF, are nowhere to be found.

Well, I figured it out myself. I'll post the answer in case anyone else runs into the same problem.

I assumed I had to include the skin's SWF file (eg: ClearExternalPlaySeekMute.swf) in the same folder as the other Flash items. Turns out the skin has to be in the same folder as your Index.html page, regardless of where the SWF that it goes with is located.

For some reason this is only true on the server side, which is where it gets so confusing -- locally, it worked as expected.

Thanks!! Was having the same issue.

I was using an SQL server and I was having the same issue. I also noticed that I had to go to > Publish Settings > Flash > Local playback security > and select from the drop down = Access Network files only.
