How do I remove a specific color from an embedded video?

Hey I have this explosion animation I wanna put in my Flash but it has a black background. Sort of like a black box with an explosion in it. How do I get rid of the box by making it transparent or whatever? HELP!!!!!!!

I don't think that's possible. What you can do, however, is to use a Video Editor, and take a Screenshot (PrtScr - Print Screen) of every frame of that explosion, and then use an Image Editor and use Magic Wand to select all the whiteness and remove it (or use Color Range in Photoshop on the whiteness), and then saving the image as a .PNG file. Do this with every frame image

Without starting from scratch again and including an alpha channel in your original video you might be able to get away with using the 'Lighten' blending mode because you got lucky and the background colour you want to lose is black. You could then also try playing with the brightness filter to get some of the detail back that might be lost due to the blending mode.

Note that blending modes are Flash Player 8 and above.

    Cheers,
    Rob
