I've just arrived back after a 3 month trip from the USA, and although I leave for Australia tomorrow, I've managed to process the first set of photos. I started my trip in florida and, after the obligatory trip to the theme parks, made my way across to check out the manatees that winter in the streams and inlets of florida's gulf coast. The experience was fantastic - something I had always wanted to do. There were a good number of the animals around and I spent over an hour with one inquisitive individual as well as seeing a mother nursing its calf. I just wish the water had been a bit clearer and a lot warmer!
Very happy with the little waterproof Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1, as it's the first time I'd used it underwater like that. Next time it'll have to be a full dslr underwater rig with a 5mm wetsuit!
