    Arrow Input Text doesn't work

    Hello,

on my website I have a contact form where you should be able to type into an input text box.
For some reason, my website won't allow me to click and edit the input text box.
Could the problem be that it is within a movieclip?

    Thanks,
    SK

It could be, were the fonts embedded into the input textfield? That could be something to look into. You may want to try posting some code... might make it easier to decipher what's wrong.

    Please take a look

The contact form part is if you go to the end of transition 3 in the main timeline, and you click in the grey content box.

If you go into the library object "Tween 30", and select one of the input text fields, then click on Properties, then click the Embed... button, you should notice that the text field does not have the fonts embedded. Select the Character Ranges you wish to include and that should do it. Repeat as necessary. HTH.

I'm sorry, I must be missing something

I clicked embed and chose uppercase, lowercase, numerals, and punctuation. When I preview it though, the boxes aren't typable or really clickable. The cursor does change when you move over it though, as it did before.

    Thanks in advance,
    S K

    "Unexpected file format"

    It's also only 62KB for a .fla

I saved it down to a CS4 file version, which makes me think you have an older version of Flash.

Yes, I have CS3. What do you suggest I do? The published flash played in my browser still has the same error so I don't understand why CS4 would fix a problem like this. Sorry for any inconvenience.

    Thanks,
    SK

I don't have a problem with that just stand alone, like if I put it on my main timeline for example it would be fine. But the problem seems to be because it is within a movieclip.

I can't figure out why my website works on your computer but not on mine haha

Quite the conundrum. If viewing through a browser, try deleting cache and refreshing.

On your computer, did you test out my file in your browser? If you did, did the text box work? And was the overall intro laggy?

Tried viewing it in a browser... the input text field did work, but the intro was a bit laggy at the end.

I was also curious about that. is there any way I can preload that background effect? I have a preloader but it doesn't seem to help with thee laggy effects on the background.
Just to confirm, you tested my original file in your browser and the text input worked?

    Correct.

With a preloader all ready in place, there's no need for another just for the background, IMHO.

Weird, I posted my website up on the internet, and it only seems laggy on my computer. Could it be not the loading of it but the actual processing of it? Maybe my processor isn't as powerful as other computers or something?

Also the text input doesn't work on any of the computers I tested it on.
