well guys about a month into a Flash course and gotta say.....
...3dfa does things that Flash never even thought of.
Seriously I've been spoiled by this software too long. Miss it with a passion. I was searching for hours trying to figure out how to create a texture fill for an object using vectors as opposed to bitmaps, well guess what, Flash won't do it, 3DFA does. Flash won't do something as simple as outling text without taking the text down to a shape, at which point it is no longer a text element but a shape, so no edits anymore....
...I can't believe that Rob quit supporting this stuff. Wonder how many of us it would take re-registering to get him back at developing this...

I've been switched to Flash professional and Flash builder for awhile now and I still miss a lot of aspects of 3DFA. Rob was talking about releasing 3DFA open source many years ago and I really wish he would. I would be all over helping develop that.

I would love to see an open source, or like I said an update with some bug bugs squashed. There are things that are so much simpler to do in 3DFA, and some that Flash itself won't do at all. The more I get into Flash the more I realize how far ahead of it 3DFA actually was.
