Assistance On Amazing Animated Line Effect

Hello Friends,

I am using FLASH CS3 and need to find a way to make an animated line using FLASH CS3 like the example I found here, (it is the purple line effect in the area of the top near the camera lens): http://webtemplatebiz.com/show-template-2358.html

It is the purple line. As you will see the creator has a purple line doing several movements. I only need to know how it is done. Like this example mine will have an image as a background. Therefore using a large square as a mask will not work, similar to the example.
If anyone knows how I can achieve this effect, I would be very grateful hearing from you.

I think the purple lines are made in Photoshop or other image editing software, and then masked as an animation!

How to make just one nice purple line like that and then how to mask just the line.

I'm not sure how to create that Glow Line, but I just made my own line in Flash and applied a bunch of Filters to it, for it to look good :P

The White movieclip is the mask, and the masking is applied through coding on the Top Frame. Enter the Line Movieclip and simply change its design to something you'd like yourself, but left/right lines will be displayed much better than up/down lines!
