    Food

Putting together a little food/cookery blog. It's more of a way for me to document stuff I like but it does give me a chance/excuse to take some photos. It's early days yet but there's a few photos on there if you fancy taking a look.

Would be interested to hear what you guys have to say: http://food.johnloydall.co.uk/

Will be updating it as and when I get a chance.

Had a feeling that if I looked at the food I'd have to fire up the grill....and it's only 4 in the morning

    Nice pics.

Thanks - I'm trying to get a few posts a week on there but it is taking up a load of my time.

    Enjoying it though.

Just had a relook. Really great work. Definitely professional level. Could see it printed in a cook book no doubt.

Keep it up. Now I'm hungry.

Thanks - I'm trying to use nothing but natural light but it's getting difficult now that the nights are drawing in (light levels are pretty low after 7pm and I don't get home from work until gone 6)

I'm shooting at like ISO 2000.. The 5d MKII is pretty good but colours start to go a little wonky any higher..

Unless REALLY well done food only looks good in "natural" light imo. So good choice on lighting.

Very impressive! But my question is why you didn't illustrate different delicacies like lobsters, caviar or anything else. I think, it would be great for your blog and for the audience reading. As I am the greatest caviar lover, for instance. And I enjoy it everywhere I can.
