How to detect device?

Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to detect if a user is connecting to my website through a flash enabled computer or a mobile phone and redirect to the appropriate address?

Links to tutorials on this would be much appreciated!

I'd say, you need to collect user agent strings database for that. Serve no-flash version by default, check flash through javascript as eg here, update the database with results.
