    Motion of a roller on a user drawn curved plane.

    This movie illustrates the motion of a roller on a user drawn curved plane.

    I just did three random lines.
    At 1st it was stuck at the start.
    At 2nd it rolled all the way.
    At 3rd it fell through to the bottom.
    who is this? a word of friendly advice: FFS stop using AS2

    Your three examples may be all valid.
    1) The inetial slope of the curve is negative.
    2) The inetial slope of the curve is positive.
    3) There is a bump in the curve.
    You can experiment with many alternatives.

    -When the initial slope is less than zero the roller moves in opposite direction.
    -When there is a sharp bump in the curved plane the roller jumps and falls without hitting the curved plane.
    The animation was coded that way.

    do you realize that it is the case with every bug ever made? the program never spontaneously does something it was not programmed to. well... unless it is low level program, and there is some buffer overrun that places random data in its code memory - and even in that case, it's because it was coded in the way that allowed it to do so.
