South Fork Canyon (it is a sub canyon of Provo Canyon) in Provo, Utah. I am not sure how much it weighed in at, but when I pulled it out and stepped on it to hold it still, it started craping out loads and loads of eggs, it was the wierded thing I have ever seen.

Hey, I don't know how strong your stomach is, but if you like trying new foods, and you like regular chicken eggs, fried, next time, save those eggs and fry them up. Swear it, close your eyes, and you will not be able to tell the difference.

Makes my mouth water, just thinking about it. I've eaten carp, bass, and trout eggs, and they all taste exactly like chicken eggs.

man, nice catch. btw, some sorts of those eggs (red and black) are quite expencive. but even eggs from that fish you caught can be very delicious. put some salt on them(not much), let them stay in the fridge for 1 day, then you can eat them just like that, or you can make super delicious sandwiches. french bread-butter-caviar. yummy.
of course if you've never eaten them before it might sound same as eating bugs and snakes sounds for me, but I assure you, caviar is one of the most delicious parts of the fish you can eat.

btw I don't know how it is with laws in Utah, but where I come from it is usually forbidden to fish during this season. hehe don't know how to call it in english, maybe mating? no, that's for animals. nice catch anyways.

Did you ever have flying fish egg sushi? That's pretty nice.

    Good catch, skierbit.

(I though caviar was specifically sturgeon roe?)

Ah, man - it's just li'l orange balls on top of some rice.

When you eat it, the little balls explode with flavor.

    It's good, trust me.

Why not? The thing is that a lot of people don't understand the exact value of caviar, especially of the fresh fish. So you are welcome to check it in such a way.
