TFP725R6L (508 dpi) Fingerprint Module = $8/ea bulk.

Only purchase the sensor with wire.

The usb transfer piece is called: FT232RL $1/ea (not limited to this model, just passes uart data)

Mini usb cable goes on the FT232RL.

Total cost can be $12 for this project

3 Actionscript Features:

• Register up to 200 fingerprints on the module through as3
• Verify each fingerprint and receive the finger ID in as3
• clear full database of fingerprint storage from the module

wiring:
fingerprint (red wire) - FT232RL (gnd)
fingerprint (black wire) - FT232RL (low tx header fork)
fingerprint (green wire) - FT232RL (low rx header fork)
fingerprint (yellow wire+white wire) - FT232RL(left 3.3v is good, 5v fork pin will damage the module)
