i have an animated button starting off my file ... i have a stop action assigned to it. now i want it to advance to the next frame and continue upon clicking the button. the only problem is ... i am unable to assign 'on mouse event' as an action ... it is the only unavailable action. i switched out of normal mode into expert mode and tried to put it in manually ... i got a syntax error telling me that mouse events can only be assigned to button instances ... but it is a button instance ... there is no doubt about that ... anybody have a clue ? please ?

nope ... i converted it to a new button ... still nothing ...

Try rightclicking the symbol to check if it's a real button in your library.
Or you could send the fla if that isn't larger than 5Mb by email so i can have a look at it.
But that only if you don't mind giving your fla file to someone you don't know (maybe you could strip the whole
so i can only see the button).
