    2007?

Should be doing preps for the calendar comp for 2007?
    EVP, Planet? :batseyelashes:
You know you’re both the most responsible when it comes to getting stuff hosted, printed and shipped.
Also, I have to ask, was the profit margin enough to warrant holding another comp? (it was a charitable cause after all) And will more of us be buying calendars this year? (I say again, its a charitable cause, plus you get a shiny printed wire bound book type thing with numbers and pretty pictures in it :lookmaImsellingit!
I'll happily fork out another $24 - I loved mine.
    Discuss.

charitable cause? was it? who did hte profits go to?

but yeah i agree- surely it's time to get this up and running if it;s going to happen again this year!

edit: there was also some talk a month or so ago about a pure photography calendar. not sure this and a normal one would both sell though?

    yup calendar has to start.

Carly, photos were included in the calendar contest last year. Wannabe had a great shot of Niagara Falls and EVP had a nice time lapse. I think there were more but that's what i remember.

yeah, nordberg had one on august.

i think there sould only be one calender. i mean, photography and the arena are both in the design forum, so it's all good.

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

iv talked to evp about it. and it is planned, there are some rule changes as well. but the basic idea for images remains unchanged so just go look at last years image rules and start working, or at least doing some prep work like finding stocks.

Did EVP strap a note to your talon and send you here? Are you his little messenger pigeon?

I definitely have some shots I am thinking of submitting and have some ideas for new ones...

off to look at last years rules....was there a limit to submissions? I can see this yar having a TON more participants.

I am excited for this years calendar. If it is anywhere near as good as last years I will definately buy one. Maybe i'll even submit something this year.

Just glanced over to remember what it was...

Next 2 months are very well done. Too bad we have to cross over into 2007 seeing SilverX as the last memory

Which image is this month? I went back and looked at last year's winners but they aren't in order and CafePress doesn't have the 2006 calendar's available anymore so I couldn't look at it.

Edit: I just noticed that the page with last year's winner's still has the old site design with the orange and blue at the top. Those were the days...

    O. K., here's the deal.....I am currently up to my ears in a project that I have been trying to get funded for about 2 years now. I am not going to post details, but if anyone is interested PM for a general outline of the project.

So, that being said I have kinda not had the time to get this years Calendar contest up yet. The rules and image requirements are exactly the same as last year's with the following exception:

ONLY MEMBERS WITH 50 OR MORE POSTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT OR VOTE.

Reason: I want this to be a community effort, not something that anyone can throw their work into. Consider this a new forum-wide "stipulation".....March Madness, Inter-Forum battles, etc, etc...

That being said if any of you would like to get a jump I would suggest searching for "calendar" and starting NOW! I will try to get the "Official" post up this week, but until then.....consider this STARTED!

Damn it is raining, photo shoot cancelled for now.

Also, since this year is definitely going to be A LOT more popular then last years. Could we possibly throw in some sort of submission limit? Like 3-5 or something just so the voting isn't so thinnly spread out once the voting starts so all the submissions aren't just sitting with 1 or 2 votes. Or even allow 3 votes per person or SOMETHING...

I don't know just throwing out ideas.
