    reputable arcade sites[disc]

    Hi guys,

Ive been looking through the thread posted by daydream about arcade sites and ive just realised that in trying to get my newest game licensed I have emailed it off to one of the sites on the 'bad' list, now I havent recieved any email back and as yet I havent spotted my game on their site (maybe because its got a huge disclaimer on the title page), hopefully they will not be gitty enough to do that and maybe they will actually do business proper, either way my point is that information on reputable arcade sites is hard to come by, especially for new developers who are just starting to sell games for a living.

    So what am I suggesting?

How bout we make a nice long list of all the known reputable sites that developers can sell their nice new games to, I know some may feel im trying to take a way thier business here but if you look at it this way, there may be loads ofsites you didnt know about that you can now sell to, so in short everyones a winner. What im looking for here is posts from people who have actually dealt with a specific site and have found them to be 'good' people, not something you think is good but have never spoke to or dealt with before.

    To start the list off:

http://www.mousebreaker.com/ (licensed my first ever game, Piranha)

http://www.pnflashgames.com/ (Never actually dealt with leason myself but I think everyone knows his site is a reputable one)

Yes ive just broken my own rule but hey, leason held the 48 comp on his site so im counting that as a dealing.

Lets see how many sites we can come up with.

    Thanks.

ps. Please no bad sites on the list, just good ones, if we listed all the bad ones we would bring the entire forum to a standstill.

I was wondering the same thing. I havnt licensed any of my games yet. But I want a list cause I'm getting ready to make something worth selling. I think MiniClip and Shockwave are good ones too.

    Thanks guys.

Surely there must be more than this.

    Anyone else know of any?

    Thanks.

OK, these all seem reputable, though I don't know how many of them actually license games, or just develop in-house:

Doesn't matter, still hours of fun:

this seems like a really great thread, and I think we should keep adding to it.
The only site I've ever dealt with is
    www.java-gaming.com (archbob)

Im going to add a couple more as I know people that have dealt with them and they say they are very reputable.

    http://www.ultimatearcade.com/

    http://www.arcadetown.com/

Ive updated my first post so that the sites are both links, think its makes things easier if everyone does it this way.

By the way if anyone thinks any of the sites on the list are not reputable that could well be removed from the list, just so long as there is some kind of proof.

    Thanks.

Yup, I wanted my site in the list.

Hey, yesterday I was searching my old posts trying to find when I first started preaching about "tile" engines. You guys are lucky I didn't bump any of those (2001)
