Hello everyone,
I am hoping you all can help me with some weirdness I am experiencing. I am putting up some images and am trying to figure out why when I add text, the fades slow down. Compare these two URLs:
No Text: http://www.levistable.com/art/knoerle2.htm
With Text: http://www.levistable.com/art/knoerle1.htm
You'll notice that the images fade in and out much more slowly without the text than with the text - especially the last two or three images. Anybody know why this is....And how to fix it?

i had this problem in the past and couldn't fix it. but look at it this way it puts a kinda cool effect on the whole thing like it was meant to be.

I was thinking the same Rykor, it reminds me a bit of the computerized slideshows we made in college. (20 years ago!)
I'ld go for the second one, Ryan, without asking yourself a lot of whys, it looks very good!

It may not solve all of your problems but I would suggest upgrading to 1.52 (if you are still using 1.51) and scale all your graphics to 99% during their fade in. The reason I suspect 1.51 is that there is a slight jump to the images as the reach the end of fade in - scaling and 1.52 resolve this - I am not sure if they will resolve the timing issue - that may be a server problem (does it look the same on your home machine). You might need a short preloader.
Cheers,

Flick,
I'll give that a try. I saw the jump and wasn't sure why that was either, although that was less of an issue than the slowing of the fade.
In regards to the preloader.... If you watch the movie loop back through after everything has been completely loaded, it still does the same thing....
Looks like 1.52 is shortly in my future. Looking forward (is it becoming cliche'?) to V2!
Thanks for the commendations everyone.
