Why should I pay 30 $ for something that, macromedia will probably integrate in it's next version of Flash.
I know that 30 $ isn't much but why not sell it to macromedia as a tool rather then a seperate program?

First, there is no plug-in API for Flash, so we can't integrate it even if we'd like to. I have spoken to the engineering lead on the Flash team and they have no immediate plans to support a plug-in API.

Second, we are not neccessarily selling exclusively to Flash users. We also sell the program to people who find Flash too complex, or can't afford it.

Third, I very much doubt Swish-style text effects will find their way into the next version of Flash, which means you will be waiting at least 18 months.

    Cheers, David.

Why pay hundreds for flash when you may not
need it let alone understand it.

Swish fills a gap that alot of us didn't
    even know we had.

How about this for stupid logic ..

Sure I could wait till a new version of my
favourite bottle of scotch comes out,
and sure a full bottle may have great appeal
but trying to use a whole bottle may result
in total confusion when all I really needed
was a glass that I could handle and not
    regret in the morning.

Swish is my glass before bed

    cheers

For the amount of time it takes to do a simple text effect in Flash, you can use SWiSH and cutout all the headaches. I love using Flash...but to do something simple SWiSH is the choice. You really need to look at some of the examples and try to do them using Flash to really appreciate the work the engineers from SWiSH have done.
