I have created several animation files using Swish. However, when viewing them on different computers, the animations run at different speeds, particularly faster on computers that have a faster processor than mine. Being new to flash animations, is there a way to better control the speed of the animations so that it is more consistent across different computers.

    Hello,

SWiSH animations, just like Flash, can have set Frame rate and length values. These are set for the best possible conditions, ie sufficent processor and download speeds.

Download speed problems can be fixed with simple framesloaded actions in your Flash movie. Unfortunately (as you're discovering) processor related problems are a bit harder to resolve. There are a few solutions, the obvious one being to have less going on at once to put it simply. As Flash is a vector display format, too many complex tweens and actions can chew up CPU power quickly. Especially where imported image animations are concerned.

Hopefully this is of some assistance,

    Thanks
    Andrew
