I was wondering if anyone knows something about this.
I have a project with a full 4:16 minutes of an mp3 song. I am trying to make an mp3 player that can play several different songs from a list.
anyway...
when I listen to the song from my home (1.1 ghz, 256ram and DSL) it runs great! No static or skipping.
But when I tested on another pc with a 56k modem, 700mhz 128ram, it kept making a static ticking noise about every 40 frames (guessing).
the song is streamed in, so I think it may be that flash is trying to compensate for the slow connect or pc.
Is there a way to fix this??
Thanks
Frank

It is the slower connect and power of the other machine. As far as I know there isn't a fix other than to reduce the sound a bit. Inside of Flash itself there is a synch option but the results are the same with that also. It is one of the problems with the Flash Player itself.
There are methods to optimize sound for the player. You could try the Sound board here at Flashkit.
