I have been scouring macromedia.com for a download link for FlashPLA.exe I cant seem to find it?

Without it, I cant preview KM movies in the stand alone player....

Does anyone know where I can get the latest copy of this file on Macromedia's site?

I don't believe Macromedia provides such a link. The simplest way is to download the trial version of Flash (it is huge!). The Flash player comes with the trial version. Johnie may have another way.

Both SWF Studio and SWF Browser will allow you to make projectors. SWF Browser actually comes with a copy of FlashPLA.exe it is the Flash 4 player though. SWF STudio uses a diffrent method to make Flash projectors. They are not true Flash projectors but a custom Flash Player with enhanced FS Command support.

The Flash Ants FM Player is the same way as is MMN's MMB Plug-In. They are not true Flash Standalone Players but work in the same manner. There is also a guy on the boards who goes buy the name Ci-Berpages who has also created a custom Flash Player which can subsitute for FlashPLA.exe.

    I was wondering...

Is there a program that will allow me to change the exe icon and the title of my converted movie to player file?

    Thanks

    Frank,

If I understand correctly, you are looking to make a player file (exe) with a specific icon and title?

If so, SwiffCanvas does this. http://www.swifftools.com/stools/

    Thanks,

But is there any free ones out there. This thing is a $100... ouch!

That is exspensive to just change the text and have my own icon.

    Thanks

You need Resource Hacker (which is free) Frank, once you obtain FlashPLA.exe search some of my posts under the standalone board on the subject. I have given detailed instructions on how to do this, along with links, with the software over there. Also look up the current web site for Les, He goes by Ci-Berpages. He runs a Flash projector help site with many tricks that can be done with the projector and also offers a a couple of freebie programs that do diffrent things.

Also if you want/need a bundler There is a link over in Open SWF that links to an open sourced/GPLED Bundler which has both a Binary anlong with source code.

You can also use MMB with MNs plug-in or MMF. That solution is $65(MMB+MNS Plug-in MMF is $99). You don't nescarily need the MNS plug-in with MMB- You can Bind the projector or use the embed HTML option of MMB to bind it. You can also use the auto object install and Flash OCX file of MMB or MMF.
