Sunday Riddle, Can YOU get the answer?!!?

Well folks I have seen some riddling going on recently. I love riddles!! From numbers to pictures and stories, everything!!! I will post a story one first off:

Smart Alec sat in biology class with a smug grin on his face. " What are you looking so pleased about?" asked his teacher. " I know something that has four legs and two arms," announced Alec proudly. The teacher racked his brain but could think of no creature which fit the description.
What did Alec mean?
