mb is pretty good, i know the guys that designed it and they are working their tails off but i would suggest going with something more stable for now anyways, ib3 is nice, not sure about that whole situation though, i havent kept up with it.

I run ikonboard gold still and it's been great The situation there isn't great but the board a stable full release version, easy to customise and set up too. The new "version" of ikonboard will be php instead of perl so it'll be a lot faster. It's being made seperately to ikonboard though as the creator has left ikonboard completely but will be making a converter which will allow you to swap over to the new board if you want to.

    I'd still recommend ikonboard

    http://www.ibforums.com

Ikonboards lead designers left and so did most of the community, the designers are now working on a better one called iBforums.

Its gonna be in both PHP and PERL, but theyve only jusrt got the PHP beta out so if you dont mind waiting I strongly suggest getting that.

all the features of Ikonboard plus so much more

I had a look round that one this morning, Matt has released the board much quicker than I thought he would! It's lightning fast, I've not seen a faster board anywhere The ibforums board will undoubtedly be superb and for those ikonboard users, there should also be a converter to move to ibforums format as well so it's going to be something special
