rounded object appears angular in KM?

I took a rectangle and used the ADD CURVE on the bottom boundary. It appears angular and not rounded in the KM editor.

When previewed it looks rounded.

Is there a way to have KM display it as it's true rounded shape? I want to have something barely touch the perimeter and this angular distortion makes extra work trying to line it up.
