Didn't come as a suprise that IE would have (yet) another security breach!!
    from : http://www.virus999.co.uk/index.php?...ticle&artid=95

The vulnerability is due to the fact that a script on an HTML-site can be brought to execute under fewer restrictions than normal, by letting a user start the script by pressing the SHIFT or the CTRL-key.

This can be utilized for uploading files from the user's computer, without the user knowing about this.

Microsoft has stated that this is not a security problem, cf. their policy and at present they will therefore not release a patch, which eliminates the vulnerability.
    Microsoft and their policy.......

    ..... that's the real reason behind http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/2152694.stm
5000 new people in M$ should be able to fix that breach in about 2months...

They aren't outright charging for MSIE yet but they have begun to charge for the MSN Browser-

The MSN Browser is a skinned IE for MSN users- it looks like the AOL browser that we all get shipped in the mail and use as a coaster.

    http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/ptech/0...soft.msn.reut/

I love the AOL/Netscape bar at the top of that article BTW- The article and the picyure of the MSN logo its great.

Is it me, or does Bill Gates still have the same hair style he had in the 80s?

and here I was thinking you had something to add to the conversation, starkey

you should know. once a geek finds that one haircut that's easy to maintain, doesn't automatically freak out the chicks, and allows you to become one of the biggest monopolies in recorded history, why change?

but, answer me this. who's really surprised about another IE exploit?

    I'm not surprised.
