im trying to figure out how to make my flash movie wait for a specified period of time and then load a url into the same browser window?

specifically, when the movie is over (a slideshow presentation), it waits for say 5 seconds, then it automatically loads up a separate web page into the same browser window (ie, not into a popup).

    any advice greatly appreciated.

just let the timeline play for a while then have a frame at the end with getURL.

im having exactly the same problem, when i get my url it loads it up during my flash movie is playing, my movie is being loaded from an external file,
etc onload //http://(location// then while the movie is playing it loads up the page.

Having a frame at the end still doesnt work as it still opens the browser while the onload movie is playing

    im using flash 5
    cheers

i have just uploaded and found that it went over my movie so i took out the geturl

here is the page with the problem

thanks for the reply caldwalladar. that certainly works.

i think theres a frame event action script to do a delay before moving on to the next frame which i swear i used on an older site but now i cant find where i put the source fla
